I almost backed out of the opportunity to witness the city that never sleeps. Thanks to people at work and some cousins who made me change my mind. I agree that it would be one decision I will forever regret if ever I didn't go. Liza's family has been extremely nice and accommodating.
The long agonizing wait was finally over. From Manila - Tokyo - LA ... I enjoyed my stop at NWA lounge then headed to LA. The I-Phone failed me in Japan but thank god it worked in the US or I would have been unreachable for the next 3 weeks. :o While on the plane, when we were about to land, I looked outside the window full of intense excitement. Lights were simply all over. Too bad I couldn’t capture the scene as it was. I finally reached my destination - New York. =) eeeeek! Liza and Tito Robert fetched me at the airport that night. I finally got to meet Tia who was the source of joy to the entire house and the rest of Liza's family. I had the chance to explore their neighborhood at Queens / Forrest Hills and even the Austin area. We had to work from 7 till 430. Then the exploration began @ night. Good thing the sun was still up around 5PM. We were supposed to go to Fifth Avenue but ended up in Times Square! I was speechless, in awe, and shutter high at that point in time. What was once a childhood dream all of sudden turned into reality! Woot! =) It was just like the scenes in the movies. I didn't want to wake up from all the dreaming. =) Too sleepy and jet lagged to type further. We did Battery Park today. Plus we're watching a play tom. Too bad Wicked was still full but I'm still looking forward to the Little Mermaid with Liz!
