We headed for the Forbidden City after our trip to Tienanmen Square. Huge hectares of land built for Royalty. Here we witness the emperor's lavish lifestyle even having several concubines (over a hundred actually). Fengshui was talked as well. Best fengshui is a place surrounded with both body of water and a mountain. Beijing like the Forbidden City also has very good fengshui. As you can see in our photo, weather was extremely hot during our visit. But the tour must go on. :) I liked the vibrant colors of the temples along with the intricate carvings. Next set of images show you the Temple of Heaven. This sacrificial building is a sacred place for the people during the Ming and Qing Dynasty. This was where the emperors would hold their worship ceremonies. This served as an altar where they would put their offerings to the "heavens". Notice I put quotation marks because the only religion in China would either be Buddhism or no religion at all.
I was giving iMovie in iPad a shot so I decided to put this together to remind me of my Hot Air Balloon Memories that should never be forgotten! :) Enjoy! =) GIA went on a date with nature at the La Mesa Eco Park. For a change, we decided to do an activity in relation to sustainability. The friendly staff gave us environmental awareness talks to kick off our tree planting session. A total of 50 trees was the target for the day. We had black plastic bags to fill soil with and then we had to pinch the edges to give the soil pack foundation. We then inserted the green plant into the soil making sure it was well compressed to allow the plant to stand straight up. We took a tour around the park exploring different tree types - famous one was the Balete! We ate a real treat at Shakey's from 3 variants of spaghetti, chicken, mojos, pizza, and some ice cream temptation! We felt real sleepy by the time we were full! hahaha! We headed back for a more action packed afternoon... also to burn what we had feasted on! Extreme wall climbing to strategic paintball blasting in the greens! We got to keep our adoption certificate plus our Starbucks GC as token. We headed home exhausted but happy at the same time given the great company and being able to take the R! Thanks Org Culture! Great Work! :) Thanks King for our group shots! :)
Ephesus is the Home and the city of the Blessed Virgin Mary after Jesus Christ died. Checkout the gorgeous ruins that can definitely leave one in awe!
Living the Dream. Life's checklist to ride my first and probably last hot air balloon... CHECK! :) Early early morning in the beautiful Flintstone's aged city of Cappadocia! :D We had to wake up at 4 am! But we all found it such an experience to be up there with such breath-taking unique view of rock formations! We were up in the sky for 60 minutes. We stood the whole time inside the basket. The temperature was close to zero. We were loads of feet above the ground. While on air, 60 other balloons joined us up there. Our ride ended up toasting to champagne and getting certified. King, Kay, and I plus our tourmates had such a wonderful time! |
