Twinkle and I thought about just chilling out on my last day in Seattle. But just at the last minute since we both got up so early, she suggested if I was up for Bainbridge Island. New place, so I thought why not! :) Our escapades have always been one of the things I treasure dearly. At the end of the day, it's more than the place, it's the quality time spent together with true friends! :D Bainbridge Island was cool. Not that commercialized yet. We saw quaint shops, the harbor with loads of ships, and loads of restaurants. I was fascinated with how the cars were parked inside the ship. It was cool. :D

I could still remember the picturesque view of Mt. Rainier in Seattle. I thank my best friend for going out of her way just for me to witness this wonder! It was a long drive that was steep and filled with swerves but it simply was so worth it. I couldn't imagine how something extremely hot and cold could take place at the same point in time. It was witnessing snow amidst summer's extreme heat. The trip gave us a balance of nature's beauty. Loads of waterfalls which I ultimately loved. I could still hear the gushing falls roaring until this very day. There were loads of greens and lush forests. And of course snow capped mountains. Even just browsing through the photos I took continue to give me a feeling of high. See for yourself! :)
Last night in Redmond. So happy I got to spend it with Twinkle :) We had dinner at COHO Cafe. Food was good but the best part was the great company & bonding!
The most beautiful flowers I've seen lie in Skagit Valley, Washington. A few hours drive from Seattle. Witnessing a panoramic view of the mountains, field, and colorful tulips in full bloom. Definitely the place to be for all nature lovers. Thank you Twinkle for driving me all the way to see this! Loved it.
We spotted this cute shop while walking along Pike Place. It's especially for all cheesecake lovers! It was very very good!
With my best friend's company, I was fortunate to have had the privilege to check out Pike Place Market in Seattle last April 2010! To the left is a photo of the waiting shed top. I considered the visit there perfect given the fine weather for a rainy city! Pike Place known as the Soul of Seattle was born in 1907 through the hardwork of 8 farmers. And today, the types of products and services have expanded turning Pike Place into one of the most visited destinations in Seattle. Pike Place is a public market where folks (either farmers, wood carvers, fishermen, artists, etc) are able to showcase their creative artworks or harvests and put them up for sale! As a visitor, your first impression would be questioning what's so unique about this place? There's a lot of variety for avid shoppers from food, fruits, vegetables, amazing tulips, wine, vinegar, chocolates, you name it you got it! I was able to purchase some vinegar which tasted like icewine. I thought it was classic! Tulips of all colors being sold felt like a garden patch to me. As for the seafood, watch how the sellers toss your selected fish into the air. Be sure you are able to catch it! I also got to taste their honey sticks. I could still remember the taste of raspberry honey! Yum! Another highlight would be the little shops around the corner. Cheesecake and cheese! Plus who could possible forget the first Starbucks ever? You'll see loads of tourists making sure they get to take their photo right in front of the original mermaid logo. Oh yes, including myself!
